Alpina Kriegsmarine Circa 1940 Oversize Military Extremely Rare Mecanical Watch
For sale an authentic and extremely rare Alpina Kriegsmarine watch from the WWII, circa 1940. This impressive and imposing wristwatch was made by Alpina for the German Kriegsmarine during the war. The large size of this watch made it possible to wear it over the uniform or on the thigh. You’ll rarely see such models, most of the Kriegsmarine watch you can find are simple soldier watches, this on was certainly intended for an officer and is engraved with the Kriegsmarine symbol at it’s back. The watch was revised two years ago and keeps well the time. The overall condition of the watch is rather good for it’s age. Mecanical swiss made watch. 50mm diameter (It’s NOT a mariage watch from pocket watch). Comes with non-original leather strap. Submarine logo on the dial. Kriegsmarine symbol and cross engraved on the back. This watch is the inspiration of Alpina Heritage watches of our days: models Heritage MKII and MKIII.
